Black hat SEO

There is such a thing called black hat SEO which piggy-backs on my previous post. Black hat SEO is a toxic trait that people who attempt to make websites appear on the front of a search page for a certain keyword. Some ways that the people do this is that they will spam the webpage with a word, but not have any real content for the keyword. Another way is having invisible text in the HTML code, so the viewer can’t see it, but Google still picks it up as a keyword. They can also hide keywords behind pictures or just replace the webpage completely after the URL has been highly ranked by Google. This practice is generally used so people can get quick hits on a site before it deemed unworthy of Google’s algorithm to be on the front page.
